6/5/21- The Catawba Valley roared back to life on Saturday night with the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series at Hickory Motor Speedway.

The Heritage Finance Late Models would start off the night's racing action with the first of their 40 lap doubleheaders. Chase Janes in the #47 would set fast time in qualifying and start from the pole position with Kevin Leicht in the #25 to his outside. Shane Lee in the #5 would return to Hickory motor Speedway and Charlie Watson in the #9 would roll off in row two. Leicht would pull to the early lead with Janes on his bumper. Kossek and Watson would unfortunately pull to the pits and retire with mechanical issues. Lee would drive up to Janes rear bumper and pressure for second position. The halfway point would see Leicht, Janes, and Lee pacing the field as the top three. Leicht would prove too strong on the night and drive on to the win. Janes would take 2nd with Lee finishing 3rd. Matthew Gould in the #27 would grab 4th and J. P. Dear would finish 5th. more results

5/30/21- The Memorial Day weekend in the Catawba Valley started off with a great afternoon of racing at Hickory Motor Speedway. After rains washed out the Saturday event. It would be a beautiful day to race on Sunday.

The Paramount Auto Group Limited Late Models would roll off to begin the night's festivities in Round 5 of the Paramount Kia ‘BIG 10' Racing Challenge with 50 laps of racing excitement. Mason Maggio in the #12 would start from the top spot after leading qualifying with Zack Wells in the #66 to his outside. Row two would see Jeff Caldwell making a return to Hickory Motor Speedway in the familiar #88 and Josh Stark in the #32 side by side for the green flag. Maggio would move to the lead with Wells close behind. Stark would move to third with Caldwell in fourth. Akinori Ogata in the #14 would move around Caldwell for fourth. Around lap ten Stark would make the move around Wells for second and one lap later Ogata would follow taking the third position.more results

5/22/21- Saturday night would see the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series return to action at America's Most Famous Short Track, Hickory Motor Speedway, with a full slate of racing action.

Heritage Finance Late Models with the first of their twin 40 lap features. Ryan Millington in the #15 would pace qualifying and start from pole position with Isabella Robusto in the #55 to his outside. Landon Huffman in the #21 and Josh Kossek in the #44 would make up row two for the start. Millington would move quickly to the lead with Huffman challenging Robusto for second. Huffman would take the spot as they would line up to chase down the leader, Millington. The halfway point would see Millington, Huffman, Robusto, Charlie Watson in the #9, and Rajah Caruth in the #6 as the top five. Lap 30 would see Caruth move around Watson for fourth. Results

"Leicht and Kossek Split Heritage Finance Late Model Twin 40s

5/8/21- The Catawba Valley roared to life on Saturday with the running of Mr. Tire Night at the Races at Hickory Motor Speedway with a full slate of NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series action.

The Heritage Finance Late Models would be the first out with race one of their doubleheader 40 lap features. Kevin Leicht in the #25 would top qualifying and start from the pole position with Josh Kossek in the #44 to his outside. Gracie Trotter in the #2 and Zack Clifton in the #81 would make up row two for the start. Leicht would move to the early lead, but Kossek would quickly pressure for the point. more results
