Hickory Motor Speedway incorporates seven two-tire nights of racing for Late Model competitors.

( Newton, NC – February 5, 2011 ) Hickory Motor Speedway management announced the decision to incorporate seven two-tire nights for competitors in the Late Model Stock division.  This decision came about as Hickory Motor Speedway continues in their efforts to make decisions that will make short track racing more affordable for fans and competitors alike.

“The move to run the seven two-tire nights will save our racers almost $2,000 on their tire bill during the 2011 racing season.  This change will free up much needed resources to help the competitors get through the season,” Hickory Motor Speedway General Manager, Kevin Piercy commented.

The seven two-tire races were strategically selected to provide Late Model competitors the opportunity to remain competitive during a season sprinkled with twin feature events.  The following seven races were selected to run as two tire events:

                Saturday, April 9 th

                Saturday, April 16 th

                Saturday, May 14 th

                Saturday, May 28 th

                Saturday, June 18 th

                Saturday, August 6 th

                Saturday, August 13 th
