Brian Gerster hopes to start the 2017 season leaving his bad luck behind him erasing the memory of destroying one of the most productive pavement sprint cars ever after hard contact with the turn one wall at Owosso Speedway last August.

Gerster will be aboard the all new and powerful Dick Meyers owned #50m machine. The Fishers, IN driver is the latest entrant for the MSRSS season opening events in the Carolina’s on April 21-22.

The series will open up April 21 at Anderson (SC) Motor Speedway and return to Hickory (NC) Motor Speedway the following evening April 22 for the second consecutive season. The events are a part of the Southern Shootout.

Gerster has played a big part in the history of Must See Racing. He is the all-time
feature winner with 16 career victories and has 22 career Fast Times. In addition, he is
the 2013 and 2014 MSRSS series champion.

When asked about his thoughts on returning to action and the 2017 MSRSS schedule
Gerster gave some positive insight. ”We are really looking forward to competing again
and returning to our performance standards. Dick Myers, Rick Ferguson and myself like the MSRSS schedule because it features a lot of two-night events, some good purses
and is again spread out keeping us busy while giving us weekends off at the same

“This is one of the most formidable race teams in all of racing and no doubt these guys
are ready to get back after it. Everyone is expecting an epic MSRSS Championship
Points Chase showcased by some of the toughest competitors in the business starting
with two time current Champion Jimmy McCune. We are going to have some great
competition.” added MSR’s Jim Hanks.
